I started getting a little "cabin fever" a little while after Bryson was born, so we (the fam + Gramy) decided to get out of the house and see what we could get into - something low-key, of course. We ended up visiting this Safari in Pine Mountain, GA that you drove through, which promised to be interesting, to say the least. I think the pictures do the talking, here...

We bought a bag of food to feed the animals that approached our vehicle. I don't think we realized how eager (and numerous) they would be! |
FEEEEEED ME! |
The animals were so used to people that they started walking our way as soon as they saw our van. They would stick their heads in or just stand near so you could reach through the windows to pet them, and then some would even follow us as we drove away. |

Definitely too close for comfort here! Oh if only you could hear the laughter and Mattison freaking out here. |
The scary part is the zoom was NOT used on the camera here. |
This guy didn't like that we had ran out of food to feed him, so he put his head IN THE CAR and SNORTED! Thank goodness Mom ducked right before he did it, so everything that was in his nose didn't hit her. The unfortunate part, though, was that it went all over Matt. It's been a long time since we all laughed that hard. Tears were definitely falling! |
Mattison hung out in the very back of the van with me and Bryson (who slept through it all), except for when Matt convinced her to come up front to see the little deer. |
At the end, we were able to walk through a section where the animals in pens or cages. We had a great time making memories! |
